Victor Wassner, Director of Agronomy

Victor is in charge of our golf course grounds crew, course conditioning, etc. Victor's hard work and dedication to the facility along with his knowledge of turfgrass and turfgrass maintenance offers Shadow Valley the opportunity to have beautiful fairways, greens, tees and approaches. Shadow Valley really enjoys having Victor as he has been a part of the team for over 14 years. His leadership and expertise are greatly appreciated...come by and wave to him out on the fairway today.


Roy Ahnstedt - PGA Head Professional

Roy Ahnstedt - Teaching ProfessionalAfter serving 20 years in the Army, Roy started his professional golf career in 2003. He obtained his certificate from the U. S. Golf Teaching Association in 2003 and entered the PGA Professional Golf Management program later that same year, obtaining his Class A PGA Membership in February of 2010.  A new highlight to his professional career is being awarded Rocky Mountain Section PGA Assistant of the Year in 2011, an honor he is very proud of.

Prior to his arrival at Shadow Valley, Roy worked as an Assistant Golf Professional and Teaching Professional at Purple Sage Golf Course in Caldwell, Idaho for 6 1/2 years.  During his time as a Golf Professional he has garnered much experience teaching golfers of all abilities and with junior clinics and workshops that he has held during the summer months. He is great at teaching young children, not only the golf basics, but the etiquette and respect for the game. A few of the juniors he has worked with are now at college playing for their respective schools on golf scholarships. 2014 will mark Roy’s 5th year at Shadow Valley Golf Course. 

Roy enjoyed playing in competitive amateur golf events during his long military career, playing in tournaments all over the world. He now competes and participates in many of the Rocky Mountain PGA Section events.

Bob Campbell, Director of Instruction

Bob Campbell, Director of Instruction

Bob Campbell, PGA Teaching Professional, is another solid addition to the Shadow Valley Golf Improvement Center. His teaching expertise and concern for his students, unparalleled in the Treasure Valley, really shows through in all of his lessons and instruction. Bob, a PGA Professional for the past 25 years, is one of the most respected players and instructors in the area. He was honored as Rocky Mountain PGA Section "Teacher of the Year" in 2000 and coached the 2002 PGA Junior Champion, Tyler Aldridge. 

In addition to Bob's talents as an instructor he is also one of the most accomplished players in the area. In the years 2001 and 2002 he advanced to the final stages of Senior Tour Qualifying. Similarly, he has been awarded the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Senior Player of the Year in 2001 and 2002. Prior to offering instruction at Shadow Valley, Bob was the Head Golf Coach at Boise State University for 9 years.

Kevin Wolf, Director of Operations/ PGA Apprentice

Kevin Wolf, Teaching Professional

Kevin Wolf has been a Teaching Professional at Shadow Valley Golf Course for the past 4 seasons. During this time he has taken over the entire Shadow Valley Junior Golf Association and is responsible for all facets of the program including: instruction, tournaments, activities, etc. He is a full-time member of the Shadow Valley Golf Course Professional Team and is also a very accomplished player.

Kevin will be working towards achieving his PGA Membership over the next few years and is very excited about all of the prospects concerning his professional career in the golf business.  2014 will mark Kevin's 5th year at Shadow Valley.

He is here to help you with your golf game and anything else you may need.

Welcome to Shadow Valley Golf Course in Boise, Idaho!

We are proud to be supporting the Idaho Food Bank with our " Give 'em the Bird" initiative. Beginning November 17th if you bring in a frozen turkey, 10 lbs or larger, you play for free. Carts are not included.
